DOWFLAKE™ Xtra
DOWFLAKE™ Xtra 83-87 percent calcium chloride flake goes the extra mile for better dust control. With approximately 10 percent more calcium chloride than conventional 77 percent calcium chloride flake products, DOWFLAKE™ Xtra gives you greater pound-for-pound dust control than competing calcium chloride formulations and other materials.
DOWFLAKE XTRA is hygroscopic, drawing moisture from the air, eliminating the need to mix it with water.
Oxy calcium chloride outperforms all other materials for dust control:
- Providing similar performance-but requires less than half the application rate-to magnesium chloride, thereby significantly reducing your costs.
- Doesn’t form a crust or fragment under traffic like some oils and emulsions.
- Has greater, more predictable performance and less environmental impact than natural and processed brines.
- Has a slower evaporation rate than surfactants and water, which evaporate too quickly to be effective.
TruMelt™ Halite
TruMelt™ Halite is 99.5% pure oven-dried, screened solar salt and is an economical choice for commercial and residential applications. Because it is such a high purity salt, TruMelt™ Halite will melt effectively down to temperatures of 5°F.
TruMelt™ Halite is screened to optimal crystal size for maximum traction and accurate spreading. With both small dusty fines and large crystals above ¼ inch in diameter removed, TruMelt™ Halite is clump-free, making it easy and efficient to apply. Since it is non-staining, TruMelt™ Halite is safe for use on sidewalks. TruMelt™ Halite is also safer for pets and plants than calcium-based products and when applied at recommended rates, will not burn vegetation or pet’s paws.
TruMelt™ Halite is safer for use on concrete, and above temperatures of 5°F, will provide protection against freeze/cycles. However, for even greater protection of concrete surfaces and higher melting power, use TruMelt™ 10%, TruMelt™ 12%, or TruMelt™ 20%.
Dead Sea Works MAG Pellets and MAG Flakes
Naturally harvested from the Dead Sea, MAG®is a premier de-icer and premium ice melt product that provides the best performance. It also has the least impact on surrounding areas, which helps to greatly reduce the adverse effects typically associated with chemicals used to combat ice and snow hazards.
It melts ice effectively at temperatures as low as -13°F (-25°C), which is considerably below most other products. And it works fast. In tests at 21°F, within 15 minutes of application, MAG melted twice as much ice as rock salt (halite). Whether at home or at the workplace , safety is a critical issue; walkways must be kept clear to avoid injuries.
